To Team members

To all: Please have ALL our assets finished, unwrapped and textured, uploaded onto the forum before the end of this week.

To Mark: During this weekend, please make sure you have ALL our assets that are on forum uploaded into the Unreal file by the end of this week. The assets have priority over the girl character.

Since Chris said that there is no life drawing next week, we must all have a group meeting at 10am on Monday. I expect everything to be ready in Unreal, all assets imported so that the art directors can decide where things should be placed.

I repeat, this Sunday is the final deadline for all assets to be finished and uploaded into Unreal, so GET TO IT!

well seeing as this is a rather aggressive post i shell respond likewise ... the girl (which is a doll btw) is finished has been for a week and has been in making her no longer relevent i have been getting assets in as fasst as possible but im only human after all and still doing chris's stuff because i put so much time into this. I will have ALL of your assets in but please make sure you post them all! missing assets that havent been uploaded is non of my concern. Art direction i have been nagging about for weeks for people to come over and say where they want things i will be doing other prep as well on monday so i wont be spending all day on the group stuff
and personally id prefer everything by tomorrow evening as i will also be preping sunday and i had this planned out before...really like to have more than 1 hours sleep each day this week and tonight and tomorrow is more than enough time to get stuff to me i realise i have still to post outstanding stuff and i will do so later when i leave work. please note... i will allow small assets that wont need modding to be put in after sunday but thats not a take the piss angle when i say small i mean anything that takes 2 seconds to put it and doesnt require a shader network.
Think you caught me at a bad time you should see me when i wake up!

Mark I understand you're busy with Chris' work and other things as well, but don't take this post personally. I'm doing it for the sake of the team.

no no its not just that i feel there is hostilitys towards that doll if anyone wants to moan about it now is the time everyone who has seen it likes it and i almost felt like you made out i spent all my time doing that it took me 6 hours to do! its ammending things that has took all the time if that line wasnt put in i would not have took it personally but i cant see that that post in any other way while that has been referenced

all else aside, getting things in unreal isnt the least of our worries...
Mark, is there any way anyone can get access to the unreal file so we can help in any way?? and we need our level to take screen caps of our stuff in scene for the presentation... we ALL need our own assets and presentation segment for tues... I'm sure no1 wants to be working into next week when we have all that to do...

SOLUTIONS PEOPLE, NOT ARGUEMENTS!? can we pass it off as a misunderstanding??
We were kicking ass guys, dont stop now so close to the end!!

Right. So you mean, while Mark is working on Chris' stuff, we'll take over his Unreal file and take turns in putting our own stuff in? Then we can keep updating it and give it to him...

i mean we all need to have a copy after the assets are in and placed to then do our screen caps etc for the presentation slides...
We shud have a copy to help with asset importing IF mark wants the help... no1's dishing out only 1hrs sleep. We want to help, but we need to be told how and what to do...

right im all cool now.. i appologize for my rather snappy behavier it was was rather inappropriete of me.. i take great pride in what ever i do and unreal and the assets i have done are no different... to me the doll is one of my assets so to have it catagorised as not a priority for another torch or repeated item pissed me off rather especially when it was already done making such commetns without doing your homework first was foolish.
Not to mention it was bad timing as work was very very busy but that was just unlucky..

To the point anyways everything is in the level that was on the forum minus a few things uploaded today and a few dirt decals which i plan on getting in tonight. If stuff hasnt been finished its likely i have already pointed it out to you but i will still put it on the list regardless of whether it is being made now or now.
I shell create a new topic in a sec that will contain this and screen shots of the areas.
Thankyou aby for the offer regarding unreal but i think it wouldnt be the best idea in the world with the setup we have. ive seen a couple of the other groups try that and its ended in fail.. however on monday i will be in till 2 so we have plenty of time to go over the sorting out of the assets.

Ah so the doll was part of the assets! I heard that you were making a "female character" and naturally assumed that you were making some human model or something. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Good to hear that things are getting sorted out now, look forward to seeing everyone for the group meeting on Monday.

it was something that was thrown about when we were around the table i could see the torch idea getting rather repeatative and dull so i took i upon myself to make something i knew nobody else would have already made not to mention the fact it uses skeletal mesh animations is a bonus for our level and only one step off NPCs. I did it to benefit not hinder
